Visitors to Art Hill in Forest Park, sun themselves among the 1000 Origami paper Cranes on display in St. Louis on August 18, 2013. The STL Crane Project is a memorial to first responders who have died in the line of duty in the St. Louis area since 1960. Legend has it that folding 1000 cranes will cause a wish to come true. Organizers hope that first responders will remain safe but not forget those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Cranes are sold for $10 each with proceeds going to Backstoppers. UPI/Bill Greenblatt
